Roy started life in Glasgow, Scotland and as a young lad had the dream of being a famous guitarist planted in his head by hearing the Shadows.

Inspired, when about to perform at a party, by a thug guitarist who TOLD him he was now a bass player. He converted and has never looked back.

He came to WA in 1963 after living in Ireland and England.

In the Blues scene he is a much sought after session player and has toured with the likes of Kenny ‘Blues Boss’ Wayne, Eugene ‘Hideaway’ Bridges, Johnnie Johnson, Dave Hole and Matt Taylor (to name but a few.)

With his 6- string bass guitar, Roy really adds that “feel it in your guts” sound upon which so much of a band’s overall sound relies.
